Do I need to use glazier points?
All you
need when you
put the frame back together after some new art or a spray paint job are the
glazier’s points and a putty knife. A larger flat head screwdriver
will also
work. There actually is a
glazier’s tool but I lost the one we had long ago and haven’t really missed it. A putty knife
does the trick.
What are Glazier points?

Try to lay a flat scraper on the glass and slide it under the
point. Once you get it under the
point, bend the
point up. At this
point you can either push the
point out by sliding the scraper between the wood and the
point or grabbing the
point tip with the needlenose pliers and using the side wood for leverage.
