Destiney Washington hid 12-years-old gender as the student didn’t want his Catholic father to know about her identity.

Later, the same girl tried to take her life twice. According to Daily Mail, the student had months of secret meetings regarding her gender identity.

Also, we have come to know that the teachers encouraged others to call her a boy. Moreover, they also gave her a nickname behind her parents’ back.

According to Destiney, the school was trying to protect the pupil’s confidentiality. Currently, the girl’s identity remains hidden as she is underaged.

As per House Bill 1557, the school boards are required to notify the parents about their child’s emotional, physical, and mental well-being. But, Perez believes that the Clay County elementary school has failed to do so.

Indeed, he was devastated after his daughter attempted suicide by hanging herself in one of the bathrooms at the school premises. Moreover, he believed that his child was ignorant about their religion and didn’t understand his faith.

After a complete investigation, the school district believes that these allegations are not true. Moreover, they claim that they are not going to speak on this matter further.
